A Legacy Carried Forward

Lanna Muay Thai was founded in 1990 by Andy, a Canadian who helped bring Muay Thai from Chiang Mai to the wider world.

But Andy’s work was never only about promotion.

He believed in training people, especially local children, and giving them a chance to grow through Muay Thai.

One of those young fighters was Boon.

Boon grew up through the world of Lanna Muay Thai. He trained, fought, learned, and carried the lessons of the gym with him. After Andy passed away in 2018, Boon took over Lanna Muay Thai and continued the work that had shaped his own life.

Today, that legacy continues through the next generation.

More than 20 young Thai fighters, between the ages of 14 and 22, now live and train at Lanna Muay Thai. Some are preparing for competition. Some are building discipline. Some are discovering a path they did not know was possible before.
